Trivaeo Resource Management is all about managing resources in a business. This software solution bridges project management and eHuman Resources Management allowing a company to intelligently apply its internal and external resources to jobs against a schedule.

Functionality

Trivaeo Resource Management allows your company to plan, execute and track the use of both internal and external resources.  It works intellgently by taking inputs from your internal resources skills and qualifications via eHR on one hand and giving your business the opportunity to define external resources that you use as sub-contractors on the other. Then your company applies these resources to the 'jobs' you define on a schedule for those resources.  For each resource and job you can define the costs associated with the 'job' and accept timesheets against those jobs providing strong tracking of the economic utilisation of those resources.  Used as an intrinsic element of both HR, Project Management and Task Management the solution provides an efficient and effective use of an organisations resources when they are needed.  It can also be used as a tool for estimating the cost of delivering a series of 'jobs' to a client across multiple resources of different cost and skill baselines.

  • Define Jobs based on start/end dates, locations, activity for contacts, companies and clients

Companies should consider using Trivaeo Resource Management alongside Project Management and eHuman Resources. What is the main purpose of Resource Management?

Resource Management is all about using your companys' resources in the most efficient way possible. It enables your business to fully utiliise its staff in addressing the demands on your business. In using it you may also spot areas where you have an overabundance of resources at certain skills.  When used effectively with scheduling it also allows you to begin the process of forecasting your work, projects and activities based on the future 'availability' of your resources.  During the 'activities' associated with any assigned 'job' your resources can submit timesheets that can be used to trigger achievements in projects or trigger invoicing and billing activities with your clients too.  The submitted timesheets provide valuable insights to your business on the 'actual' time taken to complete specific 'activities' which will improve your business planning, costings and quotations process. Resource Management highlights include;

  • Assign jobs to resources based on their skills
  • Assign jobs to resources based on their skills and the duration of each job
  • For each job or resources assigned be able to forecast its 'value' or time based value
  • To track jobs that are New, Assigned, Started (accepted) or completed with any other statuses you may wish to add

For each activity in your business you may create as many levels of held-skills as you need.  Each may have its own daily, monthly, hourly or overtime rates. This may be used in conjunction with skills in eHR or stand-alone too.  With each activity and its skill level you can determine the typical duration of each activity based on the skill level held which results in much better cost adherence.

Resource Management is one of those areas in ERP, Enterprise Resource Planning, that your company could really go to town on. It's an area that some businesses utilise extremely heavily and others cope with basic use only where needed to allocate specific key jobs. Trivaeo has tried to find a balance between usability and effectiveness so that our Resource Manager is both easy to use as well as being a tool that truly helps a business allocate its resources efficiently.  Don't get me wrong, there is some incredible functionality hidden away in this application that won't remarkably affect a casual user but will absolutely delight a power user.  For example, it uses skills and skill levels in eHR if you have that part of the Suite. It uses every employees calendar by default, it uses the notifications and alerts system. It supports drag and drop of planned jobs in the overall calendar, it supports the mapping of employee skills to the available resources for a job your are planning. It warns you if you attempt to schedule a job that overlaps an employee who is away on holiday (or planning to be!), it helps you plan costings. It works alongside your assets if you use that element of the suite so not only human resources, but tangible resources like Plant Equipment, Rooms, Facilities and so on can be used and booked out in suppport of an assigned job.  It is an area of our Suite that brings much of its together, even though many users will find it so intuitive that they don't even notice how it links with everything else. That said, it is capable of working stand-alone too if that's all that your business needs.
